    The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has published another four Easy Access Rules enhanced online publications with faster access, speedier performance, permalinks, optimised old features, and improved navigation:

  • EASA and EUROCONTROL release Electronic Conspicuity Use Cases for safer shared airspace

    EUROCONTROL and EASA, together with aviation stakeholders, have jointly developed two use case descriptions for the use of Electronic Conspicuity (EC) to enhance traffic awareness for pilots and facilitate integration of drones in shared airspace. The use cases will serve as input to the joint Electronic Conspicuity assessment and validation work performed in Europe and aim to support the safety of manned and unmanned aviation through affordable, interoperable and harmonised solutions.

  • EASA publishes the updated Easy Access Rules for Normal-Category Aeroplanes (CS-23)

    The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has published the updated Easy Access Rules for Normal-Category Aeroplanes (CS-23 Amendment 6 and AMC & GM to CS-23 Issue 5) — Revision from May 2026, available in PDF, machine-readable XML, and in a new improved online version with:

  • EASA issues SIB on safe usage of Jet A aviation fuel in Europe

    The situation in the Middle East and Persian Gulf has impacted the supply of Jet A-1 grade fuel, which is traditionally used in Europe. Aviation and fuel supply stakeholders are therefore reviewing the feasibility of using Jet A grade fuel, sourced from other regions of the world, to address a potential shortfall. In this context, EASA has issued a Safety Information Bulletin (SIB) to guide aviation actors on the safe management of Jet A grade fuel in a Jet A-1 environment.

  • Thibauld Jongen appointed EASA Certification Director
    on April 29, 2026 at 9:00 pm

    COLOGNE, April 30, 2026 – Thibauld Jongen has been appointed Certification Director for the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, effective from June 1, 2026. The Certification Directorate is responsible for EASA certifications of all aircraft, as well as validations of certifications by authorities in other countries that hold a Bilateral Aviation Safety Agreement with the European Union.
